The program operates for 2 ½ hours per session with approximately 10 families participating. Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a parenting and family skills training program that consists of 10 weekly skill-building sessions. The BABES Program is conducted in approximately 59 second grade classes each school year impacting nearly 1,500 students. ![]() Weekly homework as well as educational sheets to keep parents informed are provided at the conclusion of each lesson. Each lesson is designed to be taught within a normal class period (45 minutes). ![]() There are six lessons taught once per week in individual classrooms. B.A.B.E.S: Beginning Awareness Basic Education Studies (BABES) is a primary prevention program designed to build assets and teach life skills to the second grade children of Edison. ![]()
